During that time, Jacob also began helping tradespeople improve their online presence. What started informally grew into practical work managing trade businesses' websites, local SEO and paid advertising, helping them become more visible and generate more opportunities in their local areas. His interest in SEO came from a previous business, which grew to more than 60 offices across the UK. The majority of that business's work came through local search, giving Jacob first-hand experience of how important Google visibility is for local businesses. That business was eventually closed following changes in the industry and the loss of a major government contract after an unsuccessful retendering process. Although that chapter ended, it provided valuable experience in local SEO, lead generation and operating a multi-location business. It also highlighted how many trades businesses were doing excellent work but lacked the website, Google presence and follow-up systems needed to compete online. That became the reason Time To Scale was created. Today, we help UK trades build the marketing foundations they need to get found, build trust and respond quickly when potential customers make contact.
